We always do a happy dance when we see our beautiful clients and their wedding featured in print! The fall/winter 2016 issue of The Knot Georgia includes a 3 page spread of Ashley and Lanre and their gorgeous blush and gold wedding at the Biltmore Ballrooms. We are also sharing all the details from the wedding today.
Ashley and Lanre were married on a beautiful spring day in Atlanta. The bride wore a stunning Vera Wang gown and the groom was dapper in a striking custom blue tux. The bridal party got ready at the W Atlanta Midtown where they took photos before heading to the wedding venue.
The ceremony took place in the Imperial ballroom at the Biltmore. The floral design for the ceremony was breathtaking. The entrance banister was covered in blush and ivory flowers. The altar backdrop was draped in ivory satin fabric with a 10′ lush floral wall in front of it. This created a picturesque setting for our couple to exchange their vows. Following the ceremony, Ashley and Lanre posed for photos with their bridal party and had fun re-creating the infamous Solange Knowles wedding party photo. Then the bride and groom had a few quiet moments alone for photos together. The bride carried a dramatic cascading orchid bouquet and the groom wore a white orchid boutonniere.
During cocktail hour guests had fun posing in the photo booth by Shutterbooth. Our couples’ guests traveled internationally for the wedding, so we created a unique guest book using a world map where guests could sign well wishes. For guest seating, Papered Wonders made a framed seating chart that the couple can hang in their home after the wedding.
The Georgian ballroom glowed in romantic candlelight for the reception. We used a mix of champagne hued linen in several different textures. A grand wedding party estate table made for a sensational focal point in the room. We used mirrored estate tables that reflected the candlelight and dramatic lush floral centerpiece with hanging crystals. Each chair was finished with ivory chiffon fabric and rhinestone buckles.
Following dinner, we transformed the ceremony room into a fun and inviting lounge for cake and dancing. Guests were amazed at the unexpected return to the same room which was once light and bright, now washed in striking fuchsia pink with plenty of swanky furniture to lounge on. And to top it all off, a 9 tier wedding cake masterpiece filled with sugar flowers by For Goodness Cakes, was placed in front of the 10′ flower wall.
After cutting the cake and the party started, Ashley and Lanre changed into traditional Nigerian attire and joined their guests on the dance floor. This was truly an unforgettable wedding celebration!
