From Paris With Love: Luxury Paris Wedding Bliss in The City of Light

When it comes to creating romance for your love story, few cities in the world can compare to a Paris wedding. Known as the City of Love, Paris allows for a destination wedding that is as luxurious and enchanting as the city itself. We love destination weddings that allow for not just a day; but a full weekend that encapsulates all things love, beauty, and, above all, the French art of living.

Imagine welcoming your loved ones to the most romantic city in the world, not with a mere “salut,” but with sweeping views of the Paris skyline. That’s exactly what our couple did at the iconic Hotel de Pourtalès, a haven of luxury near Place de la Madeleine.

In this heritage building, once a hideaway for celebrities like Madonna and Leonardo DiCaprio — the bride Steph wowed the guests in a flirtatious sweetheart dress. And as twilight settled, guests raised their glasses for a toast. In the background, the Eiffel Tower illuminated a moment nothing short of cinematic.

And let’s not forget the gastronomic delights because, in France, love and food go hand in hand. Guests enjoyed a spread from Mirage Traiteur that included everything from classic French hors d’oeuvres to innovative creations.

It’s well-known that preparing for a Paris destination wedding is never a simple affair. But when in the city, you make it an art. From lacy veils to delicate bouquets, every moment was captured as if it were a frame from an old French film. As a destination wedding planner, I wanted Steph and Paul’s celebration to evoke the romanticism that only Paris can offer.

Just a whisper away from the Champs-Elysées, the couple chose the illustrious Le Royal Monceau for their Paris destination wedding ceremony. Here, under the subtle play of natural light filtering through the room’s magnificent windows, they pledged their love.

Steph looked radiant in a gown by Mira Zwillinger, a voluminous tulle masterpiece adorned with dramatic floral embroidery, while Paul looked dashing in a bespoke suit styled by Alexandra Woodcock. As they said their vows, they were framed by soft lavender florals — creating a tableau so romantic, it could only be Paris.

No detail was too small at this wedding in Paris, from the lavender-hued invitations by ‘From Sir With Love’ to the awe-inspiring cake adorned in the same delicate shades.

But the final jewel in the crown of this luxurious Paris destination wedding was a brunch held at the Hotel de Pourtalès’ Sky Penthouse. As everyone gathered around tables laden with croissants, macarons, and an assortment of cheeses, it was a moment to relish the joys of the weekend and the lifelong memories made.

And when it comes to beauty, don’t compromise; the memory and the photos will last a lifetime. Make sure to book your favorite glam squad in advance — recommends Erica Bogart of Bogart Beauty.

Katie Hubbard from My Wedding Wardrobe advises brides to pick versatile, travel-friendly outfits. “Lighter items that can be carried on are ideal to minimize stress about lost luggage.”

Finally, “a site visit is non-negotiable,” says Michelle Gainey of Lemiga Events. It helps iron out any discrepancies between the online image and reality and ensures a smooth, dream-like experience.

We managed to pull off a Paris destination wedding so spectacular Steph and Paul will never forget it! To see more of our destination wedding planner Atlanta services, browse the rest of our blogs!
