Donielle + Atijah survived one covid reschedule and their first wedding venue closing, as well as finishing residency and a cross country move. Needless to say, when the wedding finally arrived, everyone was excited to get the party started! We were so honored to be able to bring their vision to life and be a part of their special day.
Donielle and Atijah’s color palette was a unique choice that I had so much fun designing with. Their “California Boho meets Atlanta Southern Glam inspired design“ featured peach, burnt orange, yellow, off-white and blush, as well as several natural, neutral textures (and of course, for the glam, we had to include some sequins). Every inch of this space was glowing— just like the beautiful couple! It truly was a match made in heaven.
Flourish in Buckhead Georgia was the perfect venue for the couple’s vision. It anchored the southern glam inspiration -and gave us plenty of leeway to focus on bringing the California boho to life. This Flourish Atlanta Wedding was truly one for the books!
They really brought the energy to match the electric vibe from a fun cocktail hour to a vibrant afterparty. Let’s just say this dance floor got its use! The entire day’s vibe was fun, classy, romantic, & stunning.
I always say that our weddings are beautiful, but also filled with meaningful details. When I learned that the bride and groom met at a dental conference I knew that nothing could be better than toothbrush favors for their guests. But we took it up a notch and custom-designed a favor wall to display the custom engraved toothbrushes. Visually beautiful and a memorable moment at their wedding! Designing a spot for favors doesn’t have to be an afterthought!
When hosting the ceremony and reception in the same space, a dedicated cocktail area is a must, so that we can “flip” the room. While the couple took photos following the ceremony and guests enjoyed drinks and live entertainment in the courtyard, we got to work getting the room prepared for the reception. The cocktail space was perfectly decorated with matching colors and a fun photo spot fixed with a velvet couch & LED sign.
The ceremony stage became the sweetheart table + cake display area. Additional decor from the ceremony was repurposed behind and around the stage to complete the transformation.
A mix of rectangular and round tables flanked their white, monogram-wrapped dance floor. High and low centerpieces in a variety of styles were used to create a cohesive, yet interesting aesthetic. No two tables were identical. The room came together so beautifully it was like guests were transformed into a new space completely!
I’m grateful to Donielle + Atijah for allowing me to make their wedding dreams come true! This was such a fun celebration and we truly love what we do! I couldn’t be happier to have created a fabulous wedding for them.
