One celebration, two locations… when a couple is given lemons, we’re making lemonade! We had three days to completely change April + Charlton’s wedding plans. After the original venue flooded 72 hours before the wedding day, we had to move quickly to save this wedding day! This was quite the Atlanta wedding!
It was exhausting. It was stressful. But the best possible outcome – we created a wedding that was even better than the original plan. We were able to keep the ceremony at the St. Regis, added the Four Seasons for the reception, and returned to the St. Regis for one memorable after party!
April and Charlton were truly at ease once the day arrived. Enjoying their friends and family, while soaking in the much deserved celebration’s arrival. They each prepared for the day at The St. Regis.
We wanted to ensure that the entrance to April + Charlton’s ceremony was a showpiece. Something that was intimate and cozy, while also creating a luxurious vibe. We were able to accomplish this with drapery and unique floral pieces that started at the back of the aisle and were cohesive all the way to the front. The ceremony aisle and backdrop design are important to keep in mind – every image of and from your ceremony will likely include your chosen backdrop, so you’re going to want to LOVE it.
The circular arch with asymmetric florals perfectly framed April + Charlton during their vows.
Guests arrived as planned, to the St. Regis for the ceremony. Once the ceremony was over we notified guests that the reception was going to take place at The Four Seasons and we provided a shuttle to transport them. As they boarded the shuttle, each was provided a details card and all the fixings for an adult lemonade, along with a card letting them know the reception would be held in a different location.
Your paper goods are perfect for incorporating monograms, patterns, colors and textures.
This room reveal was one of my favorites of all time! After all the hard work, seeing the couple just as elated with their “new” design as they would have been with their “old” design was everything I could have wished for!
The dance floor was a huge focal piece, along with the sweetheart and cake table combo. Flanked by cold sparks, it was stunning!
Their custom, laser-cut menus elevated the table’s design and were an integral part of the overall aesthetic, pulling in not only the color palette but their custom-created floral pattern.
One of our favorite forms of entertainment is live event painting – it is a great way to commemorate the day and is a unique memento. We’re always looking for ways to incorporate immersive experiences for you to enjoy and remember.
After dinner and dancing, the couple was ready for an after party!
It was so much fun having two room reveals.
The after-party was a whole vibe. Guests were greeted after the reception with a disco-eque lounge, where they enjoyed passed apps and cocktails. The couple’s monogram was incorporated on the dance floor, while we used deeper hues of pink and dramatic black velvet to create that late-night party feel. Each moment of the wedding day had a distinct look and feel, while still being cohesive thanks to the “wedding brand.”
Late-night snacks and signature cocktails were served while the celebration continued.
It was an honor to help these two tie the knot! They’re always have a special place in my heart for being so awesome during the most chaotic 72-hours ever!
